What We Can Do?

Opening Performance for Jacobly Satterwhite’s “We Are in Hell When We Hurt Each Other” Exhibition at Deichtorhallen and the soft opening of the Kampnagel Sommerfestival 2023. "What Can We Do? What We Can Do?" is a response to Jacolby’s work, referencing themes of race, societal violence, and community, as well as drawing on the intersections of the performers. Initiated by Litchi Ly Friedrich, this performance brought together elements of baroque, House, and Vogue beats, as well as text. Kameron Locke created and produced the performance soundtrack, embedding socially-critical text within a House and Vogue atmosphere, and he also performed a deconstructed rendition of Barbara Strozzi’s Che si puo fare?
